General objectives/statutes

· To support the extension of scientific knowledge in the field of proteome research.
· Communication of such know-how via a network comprising academic institutions, commercial companies, and special institutions for proteome research at national and international levels.
· Management of national resource projects (to facilitate central resources) in the areas of red and green biotechnology.
·

Announcement of opportunities for project funding and contact addresses for collaboration projects.

· Co-ordination of national research projects.
· Establishment of technology standards (quality criteria).
· Public relations, presence on the internet, presence at commercial exhibitions, and internal communication.
· Consultant function for the BMBF in questions related to proteome research.
· Representation of the German proteome research in EU, HUPO, and other international proteome organisations.
· Collaboration with regulatory authorities.
